Light Bow Gun Builds - Monster Hunter Rise Version 2.0
Monster Hunter Rise Light Bow Gun Builds
Changes from the Update
With the 2.0 update we are now able to craft more
decorations which makes our sets a little easier to make without the need for
God talismans.
Weapons
There are many different ammo types but your sets will
normal revolve around Pierce, Normal 2, Elemental, Elemental Pierce, and Status
so those are the ones I will focus on.
Pierce - Night Owl (Nargacuga)
Builds
When it comes to LBG Pierces seems to always come out on top when you talk about doing the most damage and I have 2 builds for you. 1 for Pierce Level 1 and another for Pierce level 2.
I would personally use the pierce 1 more often since Pierce
is better for very large monsters and since pierce 2 builds need a lot of recoil
and reload down it takes away from other skills but If that how you want to
play do it and have fun. That is the point of games right?
Pierce Level 1
We’ll be using the Nargacuga Night owl lbg since it comes
with 40% affinity right out of the box and to make this build you’ll need a
talisman with a double 2 slot.
Set
Rhenoplos Helm S
Shell-Studded Vest S
Rathalos Braces S
Rathalos Coil S
Hunter's Greaves S
Decorations
2 Crit Jewel 2’s,
3 Thrift Jewel 2’s
Skills
Attack boost 6
Pierce Up 3
Crit boost 3
Spare Shot
Skill Theory
A lot of these skills are self-explanatory, since we are
using a pierce build we want to have pierce up 3 for the 20% extra damage, crit
boost to take advantage of that 40% affinity but where it gets interesting is
with Spare shot.
Spare shot gives you a chance to not use any ammo. This is fantastic
since the only thing that really stops you from shooting is reloading, and
spare shot help you do that less. If you want to learn more about how to use
LBG check out the guide here.
Pierce Level 2
Just like with the pierce 1 build we’ll be using the Nargacuga Night owl lbg since it comes with 40% affinity right out of the box and to make this build you’ll need a talisman with a double 2 slot.

Skill Theory
Just like with the pierce level 1 build, we are using a pierce build we want to have pierce up 3 for the 20% extra damage, and crit boost to take advantage of that 40% affinity.
We are also using spare shot which will reduce the amount of time we have to spend reloading since it has a chance to not use ammo.
We do have some different skills as well since Pierce level
2 needs a few extra skills.to fire pierce level 2 efficiently we need to have low recoil and fast reload and to get this we need 3 points in reload down and 3 in reload speed up. These are necessary since with out them we will waste too much time reloading and won't be able to move when shooting.
