The Beginning of My Monster Hunter Journey

It wasn’t until around the end of high school when some of my friends introduced me to Monster Hunter Freedom 2. When I first started playing I HATED this game and found it was way too difficult so I did what any child does and tried to give up. That didn’t work since my friends would keep inviting me over to play so I did the next best thing… cheat. This was the first time I experienced what it was like to mess around with the monster hunter code and after having armor I didn’t earn and weapons I didn’t know how to use, I deleted that save file so I could play the game normally.

That game was such a rollercoaster full of ups and downs and I didn’t know what I was doing. Despite this, stumbling through the game with my friends in person and online using Xlink Kai was worth it. It wasn’t until I made it to the late game that someone told me about mixed sets and from then on I started focusing on skills. After this I couldn’t help thinking how much easier it would have been to get to this point if only I knew what I was doing. Fast forward to the present, and now I’m hoping to teach a new fleet of hunters what I didn’t know and add my voice to the community.

Present

I’m currently a data analyst and a programmer and with my newly acquired skills, gone are the days of hoping someone can answer my questions.

I’m now able to dig into the code myself and figure things out and share it with you.

What I’ve been doing is trying to make tools and show other hunters what can be done so that they can play the way they want, and have more fun doing it.
